2017 Kawasaki Motor India has launched the Z900 as a replacement to the Z800. The Z900 is priced of Rs. 9 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Kawasaki will be bringing it to India through the CBU route. The Z900 Kawasaki developed slipper clutch for more efficient downshifts, while ABS is offered as standard. The Suspension system responsibilities of the Z900 are performed by the 41mm Upside Down (USD) forks at the front, while the rear receives a mono shock setup with adjustable rebound and preload functions.
Braking power for the Kawasaki Z900 comes from 300mm dual disc brakes at the front with the axially mounted four-piston calipers and a 250mm disc with a single-piston caliper at the rear. The new Z900 is built on the lightweight tube trellis frame with extruded aluminum swing-arm combination.
Powering the Z900 is a 948 cc, liquid cooled, inline-4 cylinder engine that churns out 123 BHP, which marks a bump of around 12 BHP as compared to the Z800.The new gearbox offers longer overdrive sixth gear that befits the variety of riding scenarios.
