Toyota is preparing to introduce the Fortuner TRD Sportivo in India, is likely to be available in 2WD with a 6-speed automatic or 6-speed manual gearbox, according to a media report.
The new TRD Sportivo is expected to get a new front bumper with an integrated scuff plate, blackened grille with a TRD logo, black trim around fog lamps, black ORVM housings and window trim along with TRD Sportivo decals. Additionally, the SUV will get redesigned alloy wheels. On the inside, it will get a predominantly black interior and new floor mats.
The TRD Sportivo is likely to be identical to the standard SUV. Hence, it will be powered by a 2.8-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine which makes 175 BHP@ 3,400 rpm and a peak torque of 450 Nm (420 Nm for MT) @ 1,600-2,400 rpm.
