Tronx Motors has launched in India the first crossover electric bicycle called the Tronx One, at the beginning priced of 49,999. The first batch will be delivered from today
The Tronx One is based on a 19-inch mid-step thru frame made of an aluminium alloy and has twin telescopic front shock absorbers. It weighs approximately 25 kg excluding the battery.
The electric bicycle is powered by a 250-Watt rear hub motor and a 13.4 Ah lithium battery pack offering a claimed range of 45-50 km or 70-85 km on electronic gear Assist Mode. The battery pack is removable and can be recharged in 3-4 hours and It can travel at speeds of 25 km/h. 3 Electric Gears and a 6-speed Shimano Tourney gear set.
The cycle comes with a front V brake and rear disc brake as standard. A front disc brake is available. And the other features of Tronx One a digital instrument cluster and comes with an integrated app, which displays estimated range and can be used to set fitness goals. It has features like Pedal Assist, Walk Assist and Thumb Throttle.
Tronx One will be available in 9 cities – Mumbai, Goa, Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi-NCR, Chandigarh, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
