Nissan Motor has finally launched the Terrano facelift in India at price of Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The updated new Terrano features cosmetic changes and a few feature additions while it remains the same mechanically. The Headlamps have been redesigned and now comes with LED DRL’s and the tail lamps too now feature LED’s. The front end also features a new grille and both the front and rear bumpers have been redesigned.
The major updates made include a new 7.0-inch touch-screen infotainment system which supports navigation and voice recognition, cruise control, electrically operable ORVMs with integrated turn indicators and a new dual-tone layout for the cabin. The steering wheel is a new 3-spoke unit with integrated control buttons for the cruise control and infotainment system. The driver also gets a new armrest, while the power window buttons are now illuminated with white backlight. The steering wheel has been redesigned and now gets controls for telephony and audio. There is also a new Sandstone Brown colour on offer, in addition to the earlier 5 shades – Bronze Grey, Sapphire Black, Blade Silver, Pearl White and Fire Red.
The 2017 model is identical to its predecessor. Thus, there are two engine options on offer. The petrol is a 1.6-litre unit that makes 103 BHP and 145 Nm of torque while being mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre diesel is offered in two states of tune: 84 BHP & 200 Nm and 108 BHP & 243 Nm. The less powerful tune gets a 5-speed MT gearbox, while the more powerful variants are available with either a 6-speed manual or an AMT.
