Lexus has launched in India the hybrid sedan ES 300h, priced at Rs. 59.13 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
The ES 300h is powered by a 2.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine combined with a 4th-gen Lexus Hybrid Drive System that delivers a combined output of 215 BHP with an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (eCVT).
The ES 300h has offered 3 driving modes – Eco, Normal and Sport and some of other features offered on the ES 300h include 10 airbags, Hill Start Assist, Vehicle Stability Control, Anti-theft system with break-in and tilt sensors. The Lexus claims the fuel economy figure of 22.37 km/l.
The new ES 300h is based on the Global Architecture-K platform and is longer and wider than the outgoing model. Longer wheelbase allows for more legroom at the rear.
The Lexus offers four interior colour options – Black, Chateau, Topaz Brown and Rich Cream as well as three trim choices – two shades of Shimamoku wood trim and a light-coloured Bamboo trim and it gets electric heated seats wrapped in semi-aniline leather. It comes with a 3-spoke multi-functional steering wheel and a 7-inch LCD instrument cluster featuring an analogue tachometer in the centre as well as a colour head-up display.
The car gets leather interiors with a 12.3-inch infotainment screen in the centre and a 17-speaker Mark Levinson audio system.
The Lexus ES 300h features Lexus’ spindle grille flanked by LED headlights with L-shaped LED DRLs and boomerang-shaped chrome accents on the front bumper. It has wraparound L-shaped LED tail lights and a dual-tone rear bumper. The car boot size has 454 litres of cargo space. It has wraparound L-shaped LED tail lights and a dual-tone rear bumper.
