Anand Mahindra has confirmed by Twitter, the Jawa motorcycles come back to India. As per the media report the production of Jawa motorcycles are likely to begin this month of July at the company’s Pithampur plant.
Jawa motorcycle has launched 2 bikes in the international market. These are the Jawa 350 and the Jawa 660. The Jawa 350 is powered by a 343.5cc 2-stroke engine producing 22.8 BHP at 5,250 rpm and 32 Nm of torque at 4,750 rpm. It is paired to a 4-speed gearbox. The Jawa 660 is powered by a 660cc engine producing 48.27 BHP at 6,000 rpm and 57.5 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. It is paired to a 5-speed gearbox.
The brand will try to build on its retro image and will take on Royal Enfield, its original rival in the 80s.
