Tata Motors-owned British marquee Jaguar Land Rover has launched the locally manufactured second-generation XF in the country at Rs 47.50 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Jaguar had launched XF last year in September at Rs 49.5 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Now Jaguar has now started assembling the XF locally at its plant in Pune, Maharashtra.
The introduction of the all-new Jaguar XF into our locally manufactured portfolio reiterates our commitment to the Indian market.
The 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine churns out 177 BHP and 430 Nm of torque, while being mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and RWD setup. The company claims a 0-100 km/h time of 8.1 seconds and a top speed of 229 km/h for the XF Diesel. Meanwhile, the petrol variants are equipped with a 2.0-litre unit that develops 237 BHP and 340 Nm of torque. The XF petrol can do a 0-100 km/h sprint in a company claimed time of 7 seconds, while its top speed is 248 km/h.
Both the engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic. The XF competes with sedans such as the Audi A6, BMW 5 Series, Mercedes-Benz E Class and the Volvo S90.
