Bajaj Auto Managing Director Rajiv Bajaj has confirmed that the fastest Pulsar, the Pulsar CS400, will ride into the Indian market in August 2016. Bajaj Auto’s recent Annual General Meeting (AGM). The CS400 will be the largest capacity motorcycle produced by the Indian automaker. The motorcycle was first unveiled in the concept form at the 2014 Auto Expo. However, the Company chose to stay out from the 2016 installment of the motoring show.
The Bajaj Pulsar CS400 shares its underpinnings with the KTM Duke 390. It uses a similar 373.2 cc engine, but gets Bajaj’s triple-spark technology. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike will come with front and rear disc brakes and optional dual-channel ABS. The prices like expected to be between INR 1.5-1.8 lakh (ex-showroom) with the ABS equipped variant carrying a premium over the standard model.
